Tom Box, Blue Zoo Animation
Tom will be joining us to present storyboarding software PanelForge, and also talk about Blue Zoo’s experience using GPU renderer Redshift.
For those of you who missed the launch last year, we’re delighted to welcome back Tom who’ll be presenting PanelForge - the Drawing, 3D Layout, Storyboard and Animatic production software. PanelForge is tailored for the pre-production needs of a modern animation production studio, and Blue Zoo have been using it for the last two years on top-rating series such as Miffy and Digby Dragon.
Storyboard Artist Catherine Salkeld will be joining Tom to do a live demonstration, showing how Blue Zoo use PanelForge in the production of kids TV - maximising efficiency and storytelling in storyboarding and 3D layout.
Faster Rendering with Redshift
In early 2015 Blue Zoo switched to Redshift rendering, and the results revolutionized their studio. Faster render speeds, Redshift’s biased approach and GPU-accelerated architecture resulted in quality, speed and budget efficiency - all at the same time. The ability to output high quality animation, whilst meeting the tough production requirements of commercials and kids TV, is essential for a studio like Blue Zoo.
